A Message From The Teacher

Hi, I’m Pete Fry – Founder & Teacher at Cardiff Kung Fu Academy.

2021 was another challenging year for us all in many ways and it was Kung Fu training that helped to keep us grounded, focused and connected as a group here at the Academy.

We got back to in-person training – albeit at a distance, with stick training and forms practice – and welcomed a group of enthusiastic new students when restrictions were lifted in the summer.

The daily practice of Kung Fu requires physical effort, focus and discipline, and results in a balanced body and mind, which makes it of great benefit to anyone who practices it.

My mission is to pass on this traditional art form to more students in 2022, help you master your body and mind, learn self-defence and improve your focus, discipline and confidence through the amazing art of Kung Fu.

What Is Kung Fu?

Kung Fu is a Chinese Martial Art dating back hundreds of years, famous for helping its practitioners develop physical strength, mental focus, and inner peace.

Literally translated Kung Fu means ‘time and effort’ and reflects the approach practitioners take when studying the art form.

Through regular practice you will develop strength, skill and self-confidence by mastering your body AND your mind.

You don’t need to be strong, fit or flexible to start learning Kung Fu – just the desire to learn.
